I've been watching trading stuff online for years and it's wild how out of touch it can be with real trading. Everyone talks about trading in specific sessions like they’re the holy grail. But honestly, the market doesn’t just hand out great trades at certain times. If you expect to find good trades in every session, good luck with that.

Totally agree. Most of those rules are just catchy phrases that people want to hear. The market doesn’t care about your favorite trading hours. Some days are dead, while others can explode with action. It's all a mess, and forcing trades into some perfect little box is just gonna get you rekt.
Yeah but certain sessions do have higher volumes. Like during NY and London openings, if you're scalping, you might see big moves. So I think you can't just ignore them. Just check the volumes on the charts yourself during those times.
Those sessions aren't useless, man. They can be valuable depending on your method. If you get how the market works, you can boost your chances of making good trades. New York session is known for volatility, so yeah, adjusting your strategy for those times can help.

You ever think most of what you see online is just fake? Like, demo sessions or cherry-picked trades? Real trading isn’t like that. You need to understand the basic rules so you can deal with the chaos. You can’t just depend on a certain time frame.

For sure, there's no one-size-fits-all rule in trading. The NYC or London opening isn’t a magic bullet. It’s about being active when the market is moving, sure, but it doesn’t mean you have to stick to those times strictly.

I get what you're saying but sessions can influence volatility. Still, you need to focus on real conditions, not just the clock. Those rules feel more like beginners' guides, nothing that guarantees profit.
Exactly. It’s not about the time; it’s about the context. Real traders adapt to what the market is giving them, not waiting for a specific hour. It’s a matter of risk management and seeing the bigger picture.

Couldn’t agree more. If you’re waiting for the perfect session, good luck. Some days there’s nothing worth trading at all. It’s better to wait for the right setup whenever it happens.

Yeah, and if you force trades just because it’s the right hour, you’ll probably lose. A good trade doesn’t care what time it is, it’s all about conditions lining up.
But still, some traders swear by certain sessions. Isn’t there some logic to it? Like, more liquidity can mean bigger moves.

Sure, but that doesn’t mean you automatically win. Sometimes high volume can just be traps. Knowing market intent is way more important than just following a silly clock.
+1 to that! If you don't understand the market makers' motives, you're just guessing. Sessions can help frame your activity, but don't let them dictate your whole trading approach.

Sometimes, I just can’t trade during certain hours. My sleep schedule is a mess. I focus on indicators, not time. If it shows a buy signal, I’m in.
Right? News events can impact the market way more than just following a clock. Timing is important, but mood and mental state matter too.

Online influencers only show their wins, right? They don’t show the losses or the messy trades. Trading is risky, especially for beginners who dive in without knowing the game.
100%. Many will get burned thinking it’s easy. The reality is complicated. If everyone relied on sessions, then trading would be a nightmare.
I see the title’s point. If trading was strictly about sessions, most folks would just bail because profits wouldn’t come easy.
Yeah, crypto is 24/7, but if it was just about timing, it wouldn’t be as popular as it is now.
It’s about letting your strategy drive your trades, not the clock. If your system is solid, you can trade whenever the setup appears.
