Hey guys, so just noticed that TradeOgre got shut down by the RCMP, like, they've taken all the funds and closed the site. No word on how to get our money back. This seems like some serious abuse of power.
I've seen some threads about this. There's a YouTuber called The Crypto Father who actually got a response from the RCMP. Might be worth checking out his videos for info on how you can possibly get your funds back.
TradeOgre was pretty small, no KYC for users, but it had lots of low-volume coins. Honestly, how can anyone trust an exchange with such bad volume and no support? It's a total gamble.
I totally get that. It's too late for warnings now, but if you have to use an exchange, at least pick a regulated one and do KYC. It's just the way things are, even in 2025.
Isn't it wild that in this day and age of KYC and regulations, TradeOgre was still running like that? Seems like they were just waiting to be shut down for money laundering or whatever.
Once they seize funds, it's hard to get them back, right? Just labeling stuff as money laundering gives them an excuse to take it all. Like, come on, how many times have we seen that?
I think there were definitely red flags about TradeOgre. If they really were preventing future scams, maybe that’s a good thing, but still... why keep your funds there?
I heard they seized millions in crypto. Crazy that they can just do that, especially since it seems they were operating properly in a different country.
Honestly, if you're trading, you really should be splitting your capital. Pick a more reputable exchange, do your KYC, and at least have some chance of getting your money back.
