The Use of Crypto in Global Conflicts and Potential Bans

We've been hearing about state-sponsored terrorism linked to crypto for ages. Lately, it feels more blatant, especially since Trump took office. The US seems to be showing its cards, even hosting high-profile terrorists in the White House. Crazy times.

You nailed it, but what about Bitcoin and Tether? They seem to have a dark side. Can we even stop transactions with them? Bitcoin wallets can be created endlessly, so good luck with that.

Honestly, there's nothing we can do. Bitcoin’s built to resist censorship. Sure, it's used for crime, but its main use isn’t. The issue is really about the laws and regulations. You've got pro-crypto and anti-crypto folks constantly arguing.

Long time, no see! Why don’t these guys just use XMR? That's what it’s made for, right? Using Tether for payments is silly if you’re running a militia. Who wants to deal with gas fees on Ethereum or Tron?

This isn't new. Powerful nations have always meddled with others to stay on top. Banning Bitcoin won’t change that. Even before crypto, they found ways to fund bad actors. If they ban it, they’ll just find another way.

Not just about power. Sometimes it’s about money. You can fund a group and get access to resources. Like, if I had billions, I could fund factions in struggling countries for profit.

Why not use the easiest options? If they really wanted to hide, they wouldn’t flaunt their associations. You don’t bring terrorists to the White House if you’re trying to stay under the radar. But yeah, lawmakers often opt for the ban hammer.

Governments are often incompetent and don’t own up to that. They focus on what’s easy for them, ignoring the chaos they create. Citizens suffer while they chase their own interests.

If you control resources, doesn't that give you more influence? But yeah, banning Bitcoin just keeps citizens chained to fiat. Cash has been used for crime forever, so should we ban that too?

Governments don’t need to ban crypto. They’re just using it to roll out their own digital IDs and state coins. They manipulate everything, including Bitcoin. You can see it in the last few years.

This has always been the case. Major powers try to suppress others to maintain control. The US isn’t doing anything new. But with China and Russia pushing back, things are getting interesting.
