So the ECB president thinks euro stablecoins are more of a liability than an asset. Makes you wonder what’s really going on with these big institutions. Are they looking out for us or just playing politics? Not like Bitcoin or Ethereum, but still it could support the euro... I guess.

Honestly, central bank stablecoins just don’t work. My country tried it, and it was a total flop. Millions wasted on a failed dream. The ECB seems to finally get it. Why throw away resources on something that doesn’t bring anything to the table? They should just invest in Bitcoin instead.

Looks like Europe is all in on CBDCs and ditching stablecoins. It’s kinda scary, though. Feels like they’re moving towards some bureaucratic dictatorship. CBDCs are just fancy certificates, not real money. They can control everything with that... not cool.

I don’t think their pushback is gonna work. The dollar’s already taking a hit, and countries are moving away from it. If they want a digital euro, they need solid reasons. No one’s really proven that these things can work yet.

Lagarde is worried about deposits shifting from banks to stablecoins. But what about the US stablecoin market? It’s huge! She’s acting like the EU is above all that. Maybe tokenizing bank deposits is better, but I’m not convinced this won’t put Europe behind.

The US dollar gets a boost from stablecoins, and that helps with global liquidity. Why not let the euro have its chance too? This pushback feels more like a way to control citizens’ financial freedom. Governments love to keep track of everything... it’s all about control.
