Switzerland is set to roll out an automatic exchange of crypto data with 74 partner countries. Starting in 2026, they’ll kick things off with data transfers in 2027. Not surprising, but definitely raises eyebrows.

Seems like a strange shift for Switzerland. They're famous for their banking secrecy, right? Now they’re just laying it all bare for the world. Guess they want to protect their banking sector's interests.

For real, the days of Swiss banking secrecy are long gone. Now they just hand over personal info to anyone asking nicely. Not cool.

Totally agree! If they’ve lost their grip on secrecy, then why should we trust them with anything crypto-related? Governments and crypto just don’t mix.

So sad! Their secrecy helped them become one of the wealthiest countries, and now they’re scrapping it. Makes you wonder how much loyalty they’ll show to crypto in the end.

If memory serves, the US pushed for info after the 2008 crisis, pressuring Swiss banks to cough up details about American clients. Guess the pressure’s never really let up since then.
Yeah, it’s wild how much has changed. Even in the last ten years, things shifted dramatically. I remember when it was all about keeping things quiet.
I’m not surprised. Centralized governments just want to know everything about you. Sharing data with 74 countries? It’s like they don’t care about privacy at all.

Exactly! They’re just keeping tabs on financial movements. They want oversight over all kinds of assets, not just crypto.

This is a sad turn for Switzerland, which used to be super friendly for financial investment. Why this sudden hard stance on crypto?
They’re not outright against cryptocurrencies, just making it super hard for regular users to keep their privacy. And yeah, a lot of governments are doing the same.
It's interesting to see how this affects global regulation. With 74 countries involved, including major players, it’s a big deal. Surprising the US and Saudi Arabia aren’t in on this.
I didn't see this coming from Switzerland. They weren’t on my radar for such moves. But with the hype around ETFs, it makes sense that users need to rethink their privacy strategies.
