Exchange tokens had a wild ride this year, no doubt. Some did great while others struggled. The crypto market bounced back to $4 trillion by Q3, and trading picked up big time. Spot trading hit $5.1 trillion in Q3, a 31.6% jump from the last quarter, with Binance still leading the pack at over 23% market share.

Honestly, I think only Binance coin really shined this year. The rest didn’t do as well compared to last year. Last year was way better for them.

That’s not correct. BGB started at about $5.99 this year and is now down to $3.456. So no, it didn’t rise.

BNB is the only one that truly skyrocketed alongside Bitcoin. BNB made a new ATH above $1,000 thanks to CZ’s influence. BGB is lagging behind since it’s still under its initial price this year.

Top five exchange tokens based on utility and performance: 1. BNB it’s on top because of Binance's position. 2. BGB stable growth, but not impressive. 3. OKX solid performance this year.

I’m only familiar with BNB’s performance this year and it did reach new ATHs. Bybit still hasn’t launched its own token, right? I wonder if they plan to partner with Mantle MNT for that.

Forget Kucoin Shares, did you see OKB pump to a new ATH around $200? If we’re talking returns, OKB has outperformed BNB over the past year.

For me, BNB is the clear winner. I haven’t traded BGB and don’t plan to. BGB did well early this year but never hit new ATHs. BNB keeps surprising me with new ATHs, currently over 1.3k.

Honestly, all the exchange tokens did pretty well despite being centralized. It's cool that exchanges are giving real utility to these coins. BNB went from $300 to around $800 after the first prime TGE IDO.

I was so happy with my BNB holdings! But I also think BGB is worth considering. They’ve made strong partnerships this year and events like crazy48h are boosting trading. I’ve been accumulating since phase 2.

MNT has been pretty disappointing for me. People who bought BitDAO hoping for a pump must be bummed, it’s not moving much.

Even if you’re a Bitget fan, I have to say BGB had a decent run. I thought it would hit $1 but didn’t buy. BNB is solid, being the largest exchange. Accumulating now might not be smart since the market could dip.

Do you have any info about Bybit launching their own token next year? I’d grab a bunch if they do, it could perform really well.

Haha, you got a point. Even if it’s just shilling, BGB has done well this year. BNB and BGB both turned profits this bull run, but will it last?

If these tokens are performing well, does that mean coins like MEXC are good buys too? Some tokens don’t follow the trends, they rise when their time comes.

An exchange token needs to be from a trusted platform to really pump. So far, Binance, Bybit, and Bitget are the top three for me. OKB seems decent too, especially with their incentives.

Yeah, too bad I didn’t profit from those two tokens. I’m not sure what you mean by "same". Do you think they’ll stay stable or rise next year? I still believe BNB will stay on top because of its community and ecosystem.

As long as you’re making money in this bull run, that’s all that counts. I think BNB will definitely hold its ground while BGB’s future is more uncertain.
