Struggling to Get Testnet BTC? Let's Discuss

Switching from SOL app dev to BTC apps. It's ridiculous how hard it is to get BTC on Testnet... those faucets are always down! Unlike SOL or ETH, which are always available. I seriously need some Testnet BTC for my project. Looking for.005 BTC. Happy to pay $50 in SOL to any miner who can help. Need to do this every month from Dec to March.

Testnet is kinda broken right now. If you want v4, there are just 13 coins left in QR-codes on page 2. I could fund 300 QR-codes on page 4 if anyone's interested.

This whole situation stinks. Testnets should let devs test stuff without real money. Any idea why signet hasn’t caught on? It’s pretty much the ideal fix for this.

Here’s my take: Haven't used Bitcoin Stagenet yet, but gathering coins for testing exchanges is a hassle.

Not every wallet supports signet, and I think more support testnet. Signet feels centralized, which turns some off. Meanwhile, testnet is decentralized, except for a few miners just churning out empty blocks. Why’s testnet4 still not hard-forked? It’s stuck in this empty-block limbo.

Exactly, signet is centralized. One ASIC could mess with the whole chain anytime. That said, mining in signet is still somewhat possible: <link>. It was way easier before, but now it's tougher as more people jump in.

Disabling the 20-minute rule could be a softfork, just applying it after a certain block. No need for a whole new network. I heard it was planned for Jan 2026 but nothing’s been done since July last year.

Makes sense to trade something useless for something valuable. But seriously, why are there buyers?

People are strange and creative; that makes it more interesting. Letting people be weird with Bitcoin is where the real value lies.

If you think this is weird, you should've seen 2017! Exchanges were selling coins that were totally defunct! During the so-called 'bitcoin fork war' they got markets up for hypothetical coins that never even existed. Crazy!
