Spot Trading vs Investing: What's the Difference?

So I'm curious about something. If a spot trader ends up holding during a market downturn, are they simply an investor now? I think that waiting to sell for profit kinda makes them a short-term investor. What do you all think?

Yes! Accidentally becoming an investor doesn’t mean you’re bad at trading; it just means the market shifted unexpectedly. It happens to the best!
