Solo Mining BTC: Questions and Tips

Been mining with around 50 30 series cards for about a year now and got my first Kaspa ASIC a couple months back. Recently got interested in solo mining BTC. Had good luck solo mining Ethereum in the past, found 7 blocks in 3 months. Just got an S19K Pro that’s arriving tomorrow, power is cheap here at.08 per kWh. 1. Is there a site where I can see which pools have solved solo blocks? 2. What difficulty should I set for the S19K Pro? Or should I just leave it?

Looking for a pool site that shows recent solo blocks? Not sure how that helps since luck varies. Just choose a decent BTC mining pool and connect your ASIC. If you’re in it for the long haul, you’ll be fine. Best to stick with default settings and let the S19K do its thing. You say you're ready for this, but how long are we talkin’?

To answer ya directly: 1. Recommended solo pools are kano.is and CK's solo pool. You can check CK's solo pool stats for more info. 2. Your S19K should hit about 130 TH/s; stick to default port 3333. 3. CK's server might be in Virginia, US.

Gonna run the S19K solo until it dies. Just wanted to see what pools solved solo blocks and how many, need to know how legit they are and how often these blocks come up on the network. Using a checker, I got a ping of 18ms for US servers, but ViaBTC shows like 0.8ms.

Best way to check server latency is using cmd on Windows or terminal on Mac/Linux. That’s actually more reliable than what you were using. Same command works across systems.

CK pool has only one server in the USA, so yeah, if you're near it, lower stale rates, but you gotta hope the block you find gets distributed fast. Check out my pool with worldwide servers and faster block distribution.
