Replacing ASIC Miner Fans: Is Noctua an Option?

So I've been hearing that Noctua fans are super quiet. Why isn't anyone using them on Bitmain ASIC miners? I just got a secondhand Bitmain miner and the noise is driving me nuts. Anyone tried Noctua fans on the S19?

Exactly. Noctua fans are great but they won't work in miners because of back pressure. These fans need to push air hard for mining rigs, which means higher speed and noise. Those blowers are better for keeping it quiet.

I saw a video where someone fitted Noctua fans on an L3+. It was quiet, but I doubt the same mod will work on the S19. They mentioned the RPMs being too low compared to stock fans. If it was tough with L3+, then S19 will be worse.

You might wanna look into soundproof boxes for your ASIC. They can drop noise to around 44-50 dB. Could be a cheaper fix too. It's hard to get quiet with 6000 RPM.

Facts. Noctua fans won't cut it for the S19, it'll overheat. I've tried Noctua fans on other miners, but with the S19 being so powerful, you'd have to downclock it to keep it cool. It's a whole different game.
