i exported public keys from my exodus wallet: xpub6DA, zpub6ruWS, zpub6rhPfS. xpub is for old addresses, zpub is for segwit and taproot. i messed up and got a taproot address to receive bitcoin and now it’s not showing in my wallet. found a tx on trezor at m/84'/0'/1'/0/1 but importing my seed phrase with m/84'/0'/1' path didn’t work… wallet says it's wallet #1 for zpub6ruWS.
If it indeed went to a taproot address, it’s likely a path issue. How can you confirm it's Taproot with that public key? You could play around with the derivation paths. No harm in trying.
not sure what you mean. you exported xpubs from Exodus and what now? did you import it back into Exodus or something? and what's Trezor doing here? make it clearer.
let me break it down: i made a new profile in Exodus, didn’t ask for a password, export mnemonic was the same. then exported keys: xpub6DALZDV... zpub6ruWS... zpub6rhPfS... set the third zpub for receiving in sell.app. after 3 orders, nothing showed up, so i started looking into it. some sources say third address is for Taproot.
there's some confusion. you said money is in the third zpub but your first post said the second one. clarify that. also, try that tool iancoleman.io/bip39 for derivation with your seed phrase. test different paths.
got it now. your screenshot shows that "zpub6ruWS" is encoded for P2TR and you’re on the right path. the tx is linked to zpub6rh... which fits Taproot but it’s bech32 not bech32m. swap them and try selecting "Native SegWit (P2WPKH)." remember to check the paths.
it worked! saw all 3 transactions. thanks a ton! learned loads from this. initially hard to find info, even AI wasn’t super helpful. main probs were paths not matching and validata path in wallet settings was on, so didn’t try other paths. this was a great learning experience.
happy it worked out! could help others searching for similar issues. this is why details matter original post had little info. could’ve confused non-tech folks if you hadn’t elaborated later.
