Slow Sync Issues with Bitcoin Core

Hi all, trying to sync my node with Bitcoin Core but it crashed while loading. Now it just shows "replaying blocks: 0%". I don’t wanna download everything again since it was stuck between block 750k and 800k. Here’s part of my debug log, any ideas?

Looks like your shutdown messed up the database flush. It’s reapplying state changes from block data, which is super I/O intensive. If your disk is slow, it’s gonna drag. Are you using an external drive? That could definitely be slowing things down.

I’m guessing you’re on Windows, right? I quit trying to run a node on that OS. Prefer Linux for Bitcoin Core… I use Ubuntu. You could dual-boot with Windows if you wanna keep both, but running on Windows usually leads to all sorts of issues.

Yeah, I get that. I had similar issues with my external HDD recently. Ended up re-downloading everything, but I found a way to speed it up by shifting some folders to my SSD and making links to them. It worked pretty well, though I’m still on Windows, lol.

I’ve been stuck on "Rolling forward..." since my last restart, and I’m not even on Windows! Gonna take me over 80 hours to catch up if no new blocks show up. I thought I did everything right this time, used 'bitcoin-cli stop', but it didn't work out. Why hasn't this been fixed yet?
