Hey everyone,
I used to use a service where I could basically buy a rig, and it would handle all the mining for me. Setting it up was pretty straightforward, but now I'm not part of that company anymore.
I think this was cloud mining since I didn't have to buy any hardware. I’m curious if there are any companies out there that do something similar? I’d want to get a rig at a low price, connect it to my OKX account, and then just wait for the earnings to grow before transferring and selling them.

Cloud mining? Nah, you should really steer clear of that.
Trust me, it’s mostly a scam. If you can’t afford all the mining gear like ASICs and figure out how to set it up, just don’t bother with mining.
Yeah, what you’re talking about is cloud mining, which often turns out to be a scam. Just be super careful with these services. Better to buy your own gear and mine yourself. Nicehash isn’t exactly cloud mining either, but it’s a legit marketplace.
Seriously, almost all cloud mining platforms are scams. The only two I know that are legit let you rent hashing power. Check these:
- miningrigrentals.com
- nicehash.com/pricing
Binance had a cloud mining option, but good luck renting hashrate now since they sold out.
Honestly, just buy actual Bitcoins and hold them. You’ll probably get more returns that way compared to the fake promises from cloud mining sites.
The chance of getting scammed is way too high.
For years now, cloud mining is seen as either a scam or just not worth it.
NiceHash and similar services are not really cloud mining since:
1. You can choose the amount of hashrate you rent.
2. No contracts that tie you down.
3. The company doesn’t own the mining hardware.
It's pretty straightforward to spot a fraud in this space, but you need to understand mining and the costs behind it.
If a service claims to be super cheap, they’re probably cutting corners. Real services need maintenance fees and electricity costs. Setting everything up costs money too.

Only if you know someone with a big mining operation and trust them completely, consider letting them handle mining for you. But any site offering cloud mining contracts? Total scam, no exceptions.
There are way better ways to get bitcoin. One rig will hardly yield anything.
I think big companies will come up with some legit mining ideas soon, just not anything from cloud scammers. But the conditions won’t be that great; profit will depend on selling coins for a higher price.
The Bitcoin halving next April is gonna put pressure on miners.
Been there, done that. I was looking for an easy mining route back in 2016, but a few cloud mining sites vanished, and I lost money. Seriously, don’t do it. Real cloud mining options are almost non-existent now or just not profitable.
If you’re getting a regular paycheck, use a bit to buy Bitcoin each month. Way smarter than mining.
If you can buy your own gear, why even look for a service to mine for you? You just handed over cash to someone previously.
Or were you thinking about mining pools? That’s a different story and a better way to mine Bitcoin, just gotta pay a small fee to combine hash power from other miners.
