I think we should consider distributing those unused coins from the early days, but only if more than half of the miners and users agree. There’s around 1.1 million BTC still stuck in those Satoshi addresses.

Bitcoin isn’t a democracy, though. Even if 51% agree to a change, they can’t force the other 49% to follow. One user can just fork the code, and bam, you have a new coin.

Seriously? The idea of taking Satoshi’s coins is ridiculous. OP might just be looking for attention.

Right? This feels like a cash grab. It’s like someone hoping to profit without doing any real work.

People will hate this, but doing this would ruin the network’s integrity. It changes the whole narrative around ownership of coins.

I'd literally fight against this proposal. Who in their right mind thinks stealing from Satoshi is a good idea? It’s insanity.

Yeah not a great idea. If Satoshi suddenly sold his coins, that would affect everyone. But taking them? That’s just wrong.

What’s your proof that those 22,000 addresses are Satoshi's? Any confidence behind that?

Touching someone else's coins is just wrong, plain and simple.

Even imagining distributing those coins isn’t fair. You can’t just assume that everyone has one wallet. What about those with multiple addresses?

But if Satoshi sold all his coins, would we all really be doomed? I mean, what if someone like Michael Saylor decided to sell?

It’s about the rules we all agreed on, right? Changing them to take coins violates basic ownership principles.

Hey, I love how this thread is getting people talking. But honestly, everyone knows whoever holds the private key owns the coins. That's how it works.

+1! Leave Satoshi’s coins alone.

I don’t see a solid justification for this. Show us the thought process behind this proposal!

You really think making a website will help? You need miners on board for a hard fork, and you can’t take what you don’t own.

Some people just want something for nothing. I doubt OP would be proposing this if they had funds themselves.

It feels like they want an airdrop without any effort. Satoshi left that supply as a way to limit Bitcoin, not to give it away.

If you suddenly redistribute, what happens if Satoshi's wallet wakes up? It’s a bad move all around.

Right? We've got no guarantee that Satoshi isn't planning to use those coins later. Don’t mess with what you don’t own.
