Never thought I'd see a day when people would burn BTC, especially now with just under a million left to mine. I mean, someone sent 107.13 BTC to a known burn wallet. Is this enthusiasm or what? It’s like trying to add to the already lost 3.5 million coins…

Interesting point. I saw that this wallet has ties to Kraken. The person or group behind it has been trading there for years. But it doesn't mean they’re going to spill the beans on why they did this. It's kinda wild they decided to burn that much, right?

Dude, why would an exchange burn BTC? Makes no sense. They want profit, not less BTC. I saw someone mentioning that there was a thread about this before. Might be better to just lock this one, honestly.

You’re really buying that? No way someone would intentionally burn BTC unless they were bitter or something. If they had a ton and it didn’t bring them joy, maybe they snapped. But honestly, who knows. Just a weird move.

107 BTC gone forever is a massive loss. Like, that’s worth over 8 million bucks at current prices. Someone really screwed up there. Big thanks to whoever thought it was a good idea... But hey, at least the rest of the BTC might get more valuable now, right?
