I'm trying to get into my blockchain wallet but keep getting this "recovery error" after entering my recovery phrase. It also stopped sending me verification emails.
Here's what happened:
1. First try, got a verification email, but clicking it just sent me back to the same page. This happened like five times, then they just stopped sending emails altogether. At one point, I got some Axioerror pop-up. What even is that?
2. Tried on my phone, and it said "we cannot connect to our server".
3. Gave up and decided to wait until morning to try again.

Blockchain.com is super buggy for sure. You’ve got your seed phrase, so no need to stress. Just import your wallet into something like Electrum, and you can access your funds.
Also, after you get in, consider creating a new wallet and moving everything there. We can’t really trust how they handle keys since it’s close-source.
Good to know. Thanks for the advice! I’ll probably do that once I can access my wallet again.
Do you think I should just wait it out, or is there something specific I should do to fix this?
Reaching out to support was a waste; they sent me a broken link. Crazy, right? Has anyone else faced this? What happened?
Honestly, I'd steer clear of blockchain.com for a wallet. Being web-based makes it vulnerable to hackers.
Seems like a lot of users face issues, including me. Not sure you can fix this yourself, but definitely report it to support.
And don’t expect a fast reply; could take weeks. Maybe your ISP is blocking their servers? Try checking that.
Okay.
Can you explain how importing my seed into Electrum works? Will that actually recover my wallet?

If the seed you have is your actual wallet seed and not just a recovery phrase for a password, then yes, you can import it into Electrum or any reliable wallet. You’ll have full control and won’t have to deal with their server errors anymore.
Just remember to select the BIP39 option when importing your seed into Electrum since Blockchain.com uses that.
Thanks! So the 12-word phrase might just be for recovering my password for their site, right?
I have their app on my phone, but it said it couldn't connect to the server. If my ISP is the issue, could I log in using a different network?
We won't know until you try changing DNS, but it could also be their server at fault.
The 12-word phrase isn’t a password; it’s a backup seed. Even if you forget your password, you can use that seed to recover your wallet.
Trying Electrum sounds good. Just install it on your phone and restore with the BIP39 option. You should see your wallet after that.

Your seed phrase (those 12 words) can generate all your private keys, so it’s what you need to recover your wallet.
Just import that seed phrase into Electrum, and if it’s the right one, you’ll access your funds.
Thanks, everyone. I’ve set up Electrum now.
Assuming that green dot at the bottom left shows my current balance?
And by doing this, have my funds been permanently removed from my original blockchain wallet?

Exactly! If you’ve imported it right, you should see your balance there.
But no, importing your seed into Electrum doesn’t move your funds; it just gives you access through new software. You can still access the same wallet with multiple apps.
Got it! So the funds stay on the blockchain, and I can just access them through Electrum now.
Sorry for all the questions; this is super confusing for me.
Someone mentioned that having a blockchain.com wallet is risky because of web vulnerabilities. So, are my funds safer now? Or at least a bit more secure?

Yeah, your bitcoins are always on the blockchain itself (not the website).
Electrum is a non-custodial wallet, so it just gives you access to your coins. But you’re still using the same wallet, and the keys were made by blockchain.com.
I suggest making a new wallet in Electrum and moving all your funds there. Don’t forget to save the new seed phrase.
That makes sense. Thanks a ton, everyone! This advice is super helpful!
I really appreciate it!
For anyone else facing this issue, even if it’s from their official support, don’t follow that broken link they sent.
It just leads to KYC-related articles. The real issue is not being able to log in due to various errors. It’s like they’re pushing KYC on non-trading users who don’t want that, even though it’s not related to the actual issue.
Your wallet on blockchain.com is still there; you’re just accessing it from a different wallet now. So even with Electrum set up, your old wallet is still active.
