Hey everyone, I’m getting into mining for the first time with two partners. We’ve got $300,000 to start and maybe $2-3 million more soon. All of us have been in the crypto game since 2017. We’re just looking to stack and hold BTC for like 5 to 10 years. I know $/Kwh is super important, but what else should we consider? Any advice would be great!

So this guy wants us to spill the beans on his potential 3.3 million investment. Honestly, finding a knowledgeable partner is key here. I’ve got a host in Iowa who only does air-cooled setups, easy to work with. Immersion cooling sounds cool but can be pricey and you might end up with outdated gear. Best bet is to look into Bitmain S21 XP air-cooled, pretty efficient and cost-effective. But that 3.3M? It’s not as much as you’d think... one container won’t get you far.

Why do you need a big team? I mean, in Russia one engineer can handle several containers with a bunch of ASICs. Just get a container, hire a couple of engineers and a security guy. Electricity costs are gonna be key for you. The big miners out there are working with hundreds of megawatts and you probably won’t even hit 2 megawatts with your budget. You really need an edge to compete.

Where are you thinking of setting this up? I’ve got some ideas and maybe a couple of sites if you want to chat. Hit me up if you’re interested in discussing more.
