An S19 Pro at 110 TH/s sets you back about $12.5k. It consumes 3250W, which is roughly 78 kWh daily, costing around $9.36 on power at 12 cents. Should bring in about $40 in BTC daily, maybe $30 after power costs. But keep in mind, difficulty might ramp up soon, usually by about 4% every two weeks.

With your electricity rate, it could make sense to look into hosting options where power is cheaper. Mining profits can shift fast, so don't just go by current conditions. Especially after what's been happening in China.

For another way to calculate earnings, try these tools: - https://www.asicminervalue.com/ Just adjust the electricity cost at the bottom to see daily earnings. - https://www.mycryptobuddy.com/BitcoinMiningCalculator has more features.

If you want the best rig per watt, BTC miners might not be it. If you're asking here, the BTC options depend on stock availability. The Avalon 1246 is 87 TH/s for about $5.6k, while S19 Pro does 110 TH/s for a bit over $11k. Avalon has more hashing power and higher energy use though, so it could be a better deal with cheap power.

I’m considering the Avalon too, but energy efficiency is key after a year. What if I get 3 Avalons and a solar setup for $10k? I can get a solar station for $5900, and my electric rate is fixed at $0.062.

Can someone clarify why difficulty spikes in two weeks? Is it a regular thing? When does it stop? Will I reach a point of losing money?

A 10k solar setup might give you about 70 kWh daily, assuming perfect conditions. An Avalon uses around 81 kWh per day, so your solar won’t fully run even one unit. I’m in NJ with a big solar setup, and it only gives me 500-550 kWh a day.

Yeah, it’ll keep climbing until your costs exceed earnings. Your profit is tied to price and difficulty. Higher prices and lower difficulty = more profit. The difficulty tends to rise, so be ready for that.
