Not sure the address has been made public yet. The letter they sent to TMZ hasn't been verified as legit. They wouldn't want people sending cash to a scammer's wallet if it's not real. Even if it is real, they won’t wanna give the kidnapper free publicity.
Yeah, and let’s not forget, there have been scam ransom requests. A guy got arrested for faking texts to Nancy's family asking for Bitcoin. Crazy stuff going on.
Exactly, it’s a perfect chance for scammers. If someone isn’t from the US, they might create fake stories to get donations. People always wanna help, especially with these emotional appeals... It's wild how many still fall for scams, even with the awareness out there.

Ugh, the worst is when folks just share stuff without checking. Someone tosses around a random podcast, and suddenly it’s gospel. When facts come to light, they just get defensive.
The latest is the suspect’s been caught and questioned, but still no sign of Nancy. Just waiting for more updates.
Thanks for the update. Hoping for the best for her... maybe the Bitcoin situation will clear up after more questioning.

Looks like that person who was detained has been released. They might just be a witness now, not a suspect.
As for the TMZ report, it feels like clickbait, no BTC address mentioned. If they really did use it, big mistake. Law enforcement will be all over that.
I keep wondering why they didn't ask for Monero instead. Seems like a smarter choice for hiding transactions.

Good point about the BTC address, it could be part of a tactic to throw off the authorities. Had a similar thing happen around me, someone tried to scam a business owner for their account details.
No wallet found yet, but your story’s interesting. Always be careful with your info, you never know who’s watching.

If there's a way to trace the 6 million dollar transactions from the ransom note to the time they announced 'activity', it could pull up some leads. But is that even practical? Authorities must have their eyes on it already.

I feel the same way, that TMZ stuff seems like a distraction. How can they drop news like this without giving the address? Also, if the crooks move the funds through privacy services, how will anyone trace it?
