I know a guy in Ghana who's really into crypto trading. Recently he called me asking about Bitcoin mining. Seems like he's ready to invest big bucks, and I'm kinda excited to help him out.
Mining without paying for electricity is a bad idea

But then he dropped a bombshell... wants to set up 20 ASIC miners using stolen electricity. I told him that's a huge mistake. Can’t believe he thinks he won’t get caught. We’re still talking about it, but I really hope he listens to reason.

Before he goes down that path, he should check the legality of Bitcoin there. According to some article I read, it’s actually banned in Ghana.
Plus, it’s not just about electricity. Mining needs space, cooling, and it makes a ton of noise. Hiding a farm with multiple rigs? Good luck with that.
Totally agree. This whole plan is shady and I wouldn’t encourage it at all. If he gets caught, it could ruin things for legit miners too. The government might just crack down harder on everyone.
Exactly. You nailed it. Your buddy needs a solid business plan instead of this risky scheme. It’s just not smart.
Right? I mean, thinking you can set up a mining farm with illegal power and it’ll last forever? That’s some serious short-term thinking. If you can pay for electricity, why not just do it the right way?
Stealing electricity is a bad move. There are legit ways to use renewable energy. He could build near solar or wind sources.
If he can’t cover his electric bill, maybe mining isn’t for him. Just buy Bitcoin instead. Way less hassle.

But come on, if you can’t pay for it, you have to be realistic. Some neighborhoods have ways to share power, but that’s not a long-term solution.
Your friend’s really playing with fire. ASICs consume a ton of power. Law enforcement isn’t dumb; they catch these setups quick.

Yeah, I’ve heard stories of illegal setups going wrong. Just saw a mining farm in Russia that caught fire. It’s not worth the risk.
Definitely not. Thanks for sharing your insight. Mining in places with strict laws just isn’t smart. Better to invest in Bitcoin instead.
Mining is tough now. It’s not as simple as it used to be. Home setups can only handle a few rigs without causing issues.
No kidding. With the increasing competition, it’s hard for honest miners. They have to deal with those using stolen power.

Illegal mining is everywhere, and it’s a bad idea. If you can’t play by the rules, don’t even bother.
Seriously! If you steal electricity, your neighbors will notice and probably report you. It’s just not worth it.

Mining is basically a slow way to lose money unless you have free energy. But let’s be real; that doesn’t exist.
Competition is tough, but I wouldn’t call it a ‘get poor slow’ scheme. If you find cheap electricity and good hardware, it can still be profitable.
Profitability is tricky though. If you’re not also stealing power, you’re at a major disadvantage against those who are.
