Mining Amid Frequent Power Outages

Hey all I'm curious if anyone knows how to effectively mine cryptocurrencies in a place with daily power outages. I've got a generator for my miners, but there's about a 5-second delay when it starts up. How can I make sure my computer reconnects to the mining pool automatically after the power is back?

Consider getting a UPS, man. It'll give you backup power when the cut happens. And regarding reconnecting, Windows has options to run programs on startup, like registry tweaks or scheduled tasks. Not sure about Linux though, but I bet it has similar features. By the way, ASICs usually don’t need a computer to function, right?
