Looks like Miami's Mayor Francis Suarez is all in on Bitcoin. He said that if they had invested earlier, they’d be sitting on some serious gains. Seems like he wants Miami to be a leader in crypto.

From the interview: "Miami might let citizens pay taxes in Bitcoin." That's a big move. I mean, lots of folks are bullish on Bitcoin, but a mayor considering tax payments in crypto? That's next level. Hope they pull it off.

Not really a new idea. Ohio tried accepting Bitcoin for taxes back in 2018 but axed it because of some bidding issues. A few places in Switzerland are also on this path. During trying times, it’s good to see some cities brave enough to explore it.
Yeah but there’s a catch. Bitcoin isn’t mainstream yet. Some vendors might not even accept it for services. I really hope they have a solid plan for this. It could get messy if they roll this out nationwide.

In my country, the government secretly jumped into Bitcoin when prices were soaring. It’s wild how officials flip from anti-crypto to pro-crypto. Now they’re embracing it legally, which is a step forward.
Honestly, I doubt the next administration will keep pushing this. If they don’t like the previous administration, they might just want to sabotage the project. But if it’s good for the city, why not keep the momentum going?
Do you think Biden will get behind crypto as well? That’s a real big deal for us.

It’s still up in the air. Biden’s just getting started and has a lot to consider. He’s said some supportive things, but we’ll see how far he’s willing to go.
Why did Ohio backtrack on Bitcoin? It seemed like a good idea at the time. BitPay was supposed to make it easy, right?
Crazy how much the crypto scene has evolved. With the mayor's announcement, I bet residents will get into crypto. More interest means a stronger market overall.

Interesting times ahead. Political leaders are starting to announce crypto investments. We might be witnessing a turning point in how the world views cryptocurrencies.
Looking back, if they had invested when prices were low, they’d be raking in profits now. But using government funds for risky investments? That's a tightrope walk.

I still remember when the forum started buzzing about Bitcoin back in 2015. It’s wild how far we’ve come, yet some people still don’t get it.

When does this gold rush end? The mayor could’ve made a killing if he jumped on Bitcoin sooner. Must be frustrating for him.
This mayor seems pretty savvy. He’s clued into tech trends, which is encouraging for Miami. His support could really open up new business opportunities.

Any big-city mayor today needs to stay on top of economic trends. It’s funny to see the difference between those who embrace crypto and those stuck in the past.

So are we saying that mayors who don’t embrace Bitcoin are just behind the times? They have their reasons, sure. Not everyone is on board with the hype.

Kudos to any official pushing for Bitcoin. So many still see it as a bad thing. One day they’ll realize its actual value, I’m sure.
If the mayor invested already, he must be seeing some serious returns. Timing is everything in crypto, and for city budgets, it’s key!

It all depends on when you jump into the market. For those managing public funds, the stakes are higher. But hey, it’s nice to see positive moves in crypto policy.
