Yep, that’s how it goes. Just find a broken machine and salvage the hash-board. It can be profitable, but a full working hash-board is also a good investment.

You’re right, those homemade miners won’t make you rich. But for learning and hands-on experience, they could be really cool. You can actually mine some Bitcoin, even if it’s just a few cents.
