Curious about how the global hash rate for Bitcoin mining is actually spread out. Anyone got links or studies that get into this? Also wondering about trends. Are there any noticeable shifts in where this power is coming from lately? And what about countries who's leading the pack in terms of hash rate? What factors influence this? Is it all about electricity costs or what?

check out some mining pools, they often share stats on hash rate distribution. It's a pretty dynamic thing, especially with recent events in China affecting their dominance. Glad to see someone looking into this! Like, I’ve noticed a lot of mining seems to be moving to places like Kazakhstan and the US lately.

+1, definitely agree about Kazakhstan. I'd bet that energy prices play a huge role, especially in places where they can use renewable sources.

Not just energy prices tho. I've read some stuff about regulations too... like, countries with easier legal setups are getting a bigger chunk of the pie.

I’m skeptical of all this. Not sure how accurate those reports are, especially with recent hash rates. Would need more proof to buy into it.

Anyone asking for specific numbers? I recall a few months back, some reports were showing the US as a top contender now. Can’t find those links tho... But yeah, important subject for sure!

Hash rate is like a living thing, keeps changing. Just gotta keep an eye on those mining pools and market shifts.
