Thinking about setting up a mining rig at home. Got a budget of 100k INR, which is around 1338 USD right now. Any tips would be awesome! If I could make 5k INR monthly, that’d be a win for me, even after electricity costs.

Your electricity costs are key here.

If you're going home mining, steer clear of ASICs. Your profit depends on power costs, and in India, that can be pretty steep. Try simulating with the highest tariff. If you’re banking on low rates or 'free' power, that’s risky. It’s easy to catch miners compared to regular power theft.
How do I simulate that? I’m not planning on stealing power, just want a project while working at my day job. It'd be great to at least get my investment back.

You gotta pull your local electricity slab rates. There are too many in India for me to know yours specifically.
Got it. I’ll look it up. Thanks for the tip!
Found the rates. It’s about 0.10 USD per kWh. Now with a budget of 1500 USD, any miner suggestions?
With those electricity costs, you won't get a new miner within that budget. Maybe consider second-hand or refurbished options? Contact offordscott if you need help with that. Check out that site, they might have S17 Pro or S17+ available for your price range.
I think I found something that might work! Not sure about the profits, but I'm gonna dive in and see what happens. Appreciate all the help!
