I made a little script to mess around with mining on my old slow PC. But I’ve never really found or submitted any shares to a pool. It’s just running and hashing away. Can someone suggest a solo mining pool where I can tweak the difficulty and maybe actually find some shares with my 3 MHs? And if I somehow find a block without submitting any shares, do I still get the reward?
First off, you should definitely check out the basics of mining before diving in. Look up the mining rules if you haven't already. As for pools, give public-pool.io a shot. But just to clarify, if you don’t submit any shares, you won’t get any reward even if you find a block. That's just how it works.
