So, just saw the update on Legkodymov. He’s admitted guilt according to court docs.
Honestly, it seems like he might only get a 5-year sentence. His lawyers probably worked it out to look better for him. But come on, his exchange was used for almost half a billion by criminals, including shady darknet stuff.

Yeah, it’s pretty clear the US is gonna go hard on him. The whole thing is just waiting for the final decision now. I mean, he definitely raked in a lot of cash, and his team knew exactly what was happening with the lack of KYC and all these bogus IDs.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets that 5 years or even less if he snitches. US justice system is kinda lenient like that if you cooperate.
Bitzlato wasn't your typical exchange though. It was more like a P2P setup via a telegram bot run by a team from Russia and Ukraine. When telegram had issues in Russia, they just set up shop in Hong Kong.
But seriously, what a dumb move to go to the US. The other founder is still in Russia and seems off the hook. Anyone know what's up with the rest of the team?
