Issues with R606 Mining Setup

Hey everyone. I just got a Terminus R606 for mining and I’m kinda new to this. I’m on Windows 10 and installed everything needed to run it. I’m using cgminer in admin mode and entered the mining address: stratum + tcp://europe.solomining.io:9991 with my LTC address and password. It starts, but I keep getting this message. [2021-05-27 22:02:10.433] Pool 0 message: Authorized, welcome ltc1.............................. [2021-05-27 22:02:10.433] Pool 0 difficulty changed to 2000

Dude, just to clarify, the R606 is designed for SHA256 algorithms. I think you’re trying to mine with a different algo seeing that you’re using an LTC address. That’s probably not gonna work.

Yeah, LTC is Scrypt, while R606 only does SHA256. You really need to switch to a different coin that matches the algo.

It’s like using the wrong tool for the job. You wouldn’t use a Phillips screwdriver on a Torx screw, right? Just stick to SHA256 coins with that miner.
