Hey folks,
I'm new to this and just set up my Lightning Node. I'm trying to open a channel, but my node shows as "Offline" in the Lightning Terminal. It's hosted on Umbrel. Is this normal because I haven't opened a channel yet or is it an Umbrel issue?
I've got 4 peers connected, tho... any ideas?
Thanks!

You might wanna check out some guides here. There are some good topics that might help you out with the setup and issues you're facing, like the Lightning Network FAQ or a walkthrough for Electrum.
Just do a search, you’ll find something useful.
Did you think about restarting Umbrel? Also, make sure both your Lightning daemon and Umbrel are updated to the latest version. Sometimes that really helps.
Man, I totally get you. I can't even access my Lightning Terminal right now on either of my nodes. And I'm also on Umbrel, just different versions. So frustrating.
You're not alone in this.
Lucky you for logging into Lightning Terminal at least. I haven’t been able to do that for ages. Have you checked if your node has the correct ports open?

There’s a thread about Umbrel issues that might have what you need. Plenty of others have shared their experiences... could lead you to a fix.
