Issues with Bitcoin Withdrawals from Trust Wallet

Hey everyone, I just got a weird notification trying to take out Bitcoin from Trust Wallet. Thought it was my mobile network, but that’s not it. It keeps saying that the withdrawal is starting. What could be the issue here and what should I do?

Try switching servers in your wallet if that's an option. I don't use Trust Wallet, so I’m not sure if you can do that. Check settings for network options. Also, maybe restart your internet connection.

If you’re still having trouble with Bitcoin transactions, it’s not uncommon. Best move is to import your seed phrase to a wallet like Electrum or Bluewallet for the transfer. Seriously, why stick with a closed source wallet when there are solid open-source alternatives?

Just downloaded Trust Wallet and saw that it lets you change your node connection. Go to preferences and switch to another node. Totally agree with the earlier point about using better open-source wallets. Trust Wallet kind of sucks for keeping funds. Backups to Google Drive? Yikes. Be careful!

Honestly, Trust Wallet is one of the last options for Bitcoin. You can’t even set your transaction fees how you want. Overpaying for simple transactions? No thanks. Check settings under node options. If it’s slow, you can’t send anything. Download Blue Wallet, export your recovery phrase there, and you should be good.

Doesn’t matter, it won’t fix anything. I have Trust Wallet installed just for these types of complaints. One node only? That’s pretty bad. Another reason to avoid Trust Wallet for Bitcoin.

Can’t find network settings anywhere, but I’m gonna do what Charles-Tim suggested and import to Bluewallet. Tried it twice, other apps are working fine though. Imported to Bitcoin.com wallet, but my balance didn’t show up. Gonna see if the Blue Wallet works better.

Bitcoin.com wallet isn't open-source either. I steer clear of those wallets. If you stick with Bluewallet, delete that seed phrase after you move your coins. Make a new one in Bluewallet. With a less congested mempool, you can send transactions for cheap on Bluewallet.

Imported to Bluewallet and my balance is there! But now there’s a new issue; every time I try to enter the amount to withdraw, the app crashes back to the home screen. Tried multiple times but it’s the same. I guess I’ll wait a bit and try again.

Are you on Android? Check your phone’s RAM. If the app version is good, it should work fine. If the issue keeps happening, try downloading Electrum it’s light, just like Bluewallet. But watch out for clone apps on the Play Store.

Electrum is solid, just not the lightest. No problems on my end, but low RAM could be a factor. Stick with Electrum; it’s lighter and works great.

I managed a withdrawal from Bluewallet! Inputting values in USD crashed the app, but BTC amounts worked fine. Why’s that happening? Thanks for all the help, everyone!

No bugs here, so it’s not a global issue. I’ve had the app crash on other devices before, but not when entering withdrawal amounts. Low RAM can cause issues, so close unnecessary apps and restart your phone.

Can’t find those problems on GitHub. Can you replicate the issue consistently? Sounds like your device might not have enough resources. If you keep having problems, it’s worth reporting with logs.

Electrum rocks because it’s open-source and non-custodial. Trust Wallet is just non-custodial. OP should verify and import to Electrum for better control and fees.

No one can help without logs or details about your network settings and phone specs. From what I gathered, it seems TrustWallet can’t connect to its server when sending BTC. You imported to Bitcoin.com but didn’t see your balance. Could be that Blue Wallet crashed when trying to connect for fiat conversion.

The OP didn’t show that message in their screenshots. It looks like the transaction didn’t go through with Trust Wallet, but they did get a successful transfer with Blue Wallet. Just trying to clarify what’s going on here.
