I saw a bunch of articles back in 2021 and 2022 about farms shifting to sustainable bitcoin mining. But lately, it feels like no one’s talking about it anymore. Is sustainable mining still growing? Which areas are actually doing this?
Is sustainable mining still relevant?

Honestly, it’s not really a hot topic now because a lot of BTC mining is using green energy already. Like, renewable sources are estimated to be over 80% of the total. So maybe that’s why it dropped off the radar.
I'm actually mining with solar energy. Got some issues with keeping the temp down though, so I had to get an extra power line besides the solar setup. But yeah, sustainable methods like hydro and wind are definitely in use.
There’s been a solid uptick in interest around Sustainable Crypto Mining, or Green Mining as some call it. Lots of farms worldwide are looking into greener options to cut down their carbon footprint. If you're curious about which countries are leading this charge, definitely check out some recent articles on green mining.
