Is now a good time to invest in bitcoin mining? We're in a bear market, so not sure if other options like tokens or NFTs are worth it either. I’m thinking of going long-term, planning to buy up to 20 S19 Pro 110T units.

Mining can still be profitable even in a bear market. Just a few days ago, bitcoin's total hash rate hit an all-time high. That says something about profitability.

The bear market won’t last forever. Maybe just buy some bitcoin and hold it instead of miners. If you're in the EU, there could be future restrictions on mining. Just look what they’re saying.

Why does no one mention the most key thing? What's your electricity cost? That's the key factor for mining decisions.

Compared to cloud mining, ASIC mining seems safer. But running 20 units at home? You need a proper setup, not just a wall outlet!

If I were in your shoes, I’d just DCA into bitcoin. Halving is approaching, and that could be a good ROI point.

Honestly, some questions just seem pointless. Like asking if you should buy a Ferrari with cash without considering the costs. You haven’t told us about your setup or electricity costs.

ASIC mining isn’t like running a bunch of GPUs at home. They’re super loud and hot. If you can handle that and have cheap power, go for it. But I’d rather just buy BTC now.

Most staking coins aren’t worth it; they lose value post-listing. Stick to BTC, Dogecoin, or other altcoins with potential after the halving.

Investing in bitcoin directly is likely better during a bear market. Mining may be better suited for bull markets.

If you already set up a mining rig, should you just hold off mining and trade coins instead until the market improves?

Investing in a standalone miner can be smart if you know the price is right. I’d avoid graphic cards for mining; they’re not profitable even with free power.

Comparing speculation with hoarding, if bitcoin’s price isn’t rising, mining can still be okay. When prices go up, mining can yield better returns.

Have you done the math on potential profits? With free electricity, some ASICs can generate decent returns, but it takes time to break even.

I’d like to meet whoever came up with the vague mining cost estimates. If you have free electricity and space, what’s the real cost of mining a coin?

Yeah, profitability fluctuates with difficulty and hash rate. If you're looking at ROI, there are tools to help you estimate your break-even point.

If you wanna buy ASICs, stick to the manufacturer or verified sellers to avoid scams. Always check where you’re buying from.

The guy was probably talking about ROI when he said prices could double. But it’s not that simple; growth is usually gradual.

You mean this thread? There’s been a lot of talk around mining profitability and fitting into the grid.

One idea might be diversifying your approach. Split between ASICs, holding bitcoin, or even looking into NFT mining options.
