Hey guys
Coinhive was a thing for browser mining but it flopped pretty fast. Just wondering if we could try something less resource-hungry. Maybe a proof-of-view or proof-of-attention kind of deal? Something that uses a light javascript library to confirm the page is active without burning out the user's CPU.
Is Browser Mining Making a Comeback?

No idea about altcoin mining tbh, but isn't Pi using phone mining or something? I heard it worked before launching. Not sure if that's still a thing, but if people are still mining, must be that mobile method.
Anyone got updates on that?
I think you hit it on the head with proof of view. Look at Brave browser they're rewarding folks just for viewing ads, much smarter than asking users to mine with their CPUs. That approach was a disaster, no wonder Coinhive fell off. People moved on from browser mining. Better to give incentives than to fry people’s rigs.
It’s all about keeping it efficient.
