Decentralization means Bitcoin isn’t under government or bank control, which seems fair enough. But honestly, it’s still tied to fiat currencies like USD for its value.

Totally agree. People link Bitcoin to fiat because it’s the easiest price reference. If we measured it with Big Macs, that’d just be confusing.
Governments hate Bitcoin’s decentralization since they can’t control it. They’re missing out on what it could bring to their economies.
Hold on a second. Bitcoin’s value is measured in USD, sure, but it doesn’t mean it’s controlled by it. Supply and demand dictate its price, not just fiat.
I think Bitcoin is decentralized because no central authority runs it. But still, economic news does impact its price like it affects other assets.
But if Bitcoin is influenced by economic events, doesn't that mean it's kinda tied to fiat? Just saying, you can’t ignore how news affects price.
Long-term, Bitcoin can’t stay free from fiat influence. Just look at how markets behave.
Yeah, right now Bitcoin's pretty much still connected to fiat economies. But as more people adopt it, maybe that’ll change.
But that doesn’t mean it’s centralized. The exchange value gets influenced by fiat, but Bitcoin itself isn’t controlled like that.
What’s the deal with decentralization? It’s got three parts: storage, mining, and development. No single entity can hoard all of it.
Cool point, but you’re saying it right. No one controls Bitcoin directly, but its price can still be swayed by major events.

Governments may be getting interested in Bitcoin, but that’s not control. They may want to use it as a store of value.
Decentralization is more about how the protocol operates. It’s a direction we’re moving towards, not a fixed destination in our current system.

Yeah, volatility is just a market thing. Doesn’t mean Bitcoin isn’t decentralized because it responds to economic trends.
Even if Bitcoin's value is linked to fiat, it’s decentralized by design. No one can just print more Bitcoin on a whim.

I think it’s wild how Bitcoin operates outside of regular control. It’s got a life of its own.
But let’s be real, no asset can fully escape the global economy. Bitcoin’s just a small piece of that puzzle.
It’s not centralized just because it’s traded on exchanges. Decentralization is about consensus, not control.
That’s an interesting take. But miners rely on regulations, and regular folks need to ensure their transactions are legit.
You guys need to consider the future. Michael Saylor accumulating a ton of Bitcoin could risk its decentralization.
