China's ramping up its gold reserves after grabbing a ton of BTC. They’ve hit 2,298.5 tons recently, adding a few tons each month. September was slow, though, only 0.4 tons. Pretty clear show of strength!
China's Focus on Gold and Bitcoin: What's Really Happening?

Not sure that’s the whole story. China is wary of Bitcoin because they can’t control it. This thread isn’t really about BTC, though. It’s about gold, so let’s stick to that.
Yeah, but no government is really friendly with Bitcoin. They only jump on it when they’re in trouble. Look at how they handle things. China’s been anti-Bitcoin forever while hoarding gold.
There are some exceptions, like El Salvador making BTC legal tender. Plus, Bhutan's been open to it too. The US has warmed up during Trump's second term. Just saying.

China’s probably wary of Bitcoin's US dominance in dev teams. The history of Bitcoin forks and stuff makes it vulnerable. Just think about how devs can push changes anytime.
True, China wants to compete globally. They’re behind the US in gold reserves and might be buying to climb the ranks. Plus, they’re deep in Africa mining gold. It’s strategic.
This isn’t really new, though. They want to affect Bitcoin prices through their gold investments in the trade war with the US. But Bitcoin’s got more investors than gold. They might lose this battle.
Yeah, it’s all about power! Nations want to flex their economic muscles. China’s a big player, but they’ve been anti-crypto. Still, who knows? Other nations are shifting their stance.
China’s got a long-standing gold obsession. It’s cultural for them. But Bitcoin? Not so sure. They tend to operate under their own rules, like having their own version of Facebook.
China’s been on a gold-buying spree to reduce reliance on the dollar. They want security. Funny how they’re rumored to hold a lot of Bitcoin despite making it illegal.

If China ever decides to hold Bitcoin alongside gold, that’ll be a power move. They seem to be readying for any global tensions with their reserves.
Yeah, but they’ve played both sides. They’ve bought Bitcoin before, but it’s all about profit. They’re not gonna be friendly with it long-term.
Could be a strategy. China’s always adapting. They say they’re anti-Bitcoin, but who knows? They might just be quietly stacking BTC.
This shows they get the financial direction. Gold is security, and Bitcoin is for freedom. They’re trying to shield themselves from dollar dominance.
You’d think if the US can stockpile both gold and Bitcoin, so can China. They’re just sneaky about it, making profits while pretending to be skeptical.
Yeah, diversification is key for any smart investor. They’re maximizing gold while giving off anti-Bitcoin vibes, but it’s all a game.
Where’s your proof that China’s hoarding Bitcoin? They’ve banned it for years now. Unless the government changes course, they’re not accumulating BTC.
They might’ve cashed out US stocks before reinvesting in gold. But I doubt they’re all-in on Bitcoin, just waiting for the right moment.

They don’t need to hide their gold moves. Bitcoin is just a speculative asset for them. They don’t take it seriously enough to hoard.
I don’t see why Bitcoin’s even in the title. China’s been hostile to BTC for ages. The only Bitcoin they have is probably confiscated stuff.
