Do you guys really think Bitcoin is a solid store of value? I used to be all in on that idea, but after thinking it through, I’ve got my doubts.

I totally disagree. Bitcoin's made a huge impact globally, and its history shows a consistent upward trend. It's only gonna get more relevant. Who wouldn’t want to invest in something that’s always climbing?

But hold on, you can’t just ignore volatility. That’s what makes it risky. A store of value should be stable, right? If it’s all over the place, people panic-sell.

You gotta understand, not everyone gets Bitcoin. It’s not just about how it performs short-term. A true store of value has to be scarce, durable, and even liquid. Does Bitcoin tick those boxes?

Gold is shiny and all, but it’s also volatile. Look at its history. If you can handle gold, you can handle Bitcoin. It has durability and is decentralized.

You guys are missing the point. Bitcoin doesn’t need to be physical to have value. Just look at services like PayPal. No physical product but still high demand.

Comparing PayPal to Bitcoin is a stretch. PayPal is just a middleman for transactions. Bitcoin is real currency, with its own monetary value.

Sure, things can be volatile, but long-term retention of value is what matters. There’s demand for Bitcoin beyond speculation. Look at cross-border transactions or inflation hedging.

But you can’t ignore market correlation. Stocks, crypto, all that stuff reacts to world events. BTC is no different.

Honestly, Bitcoin is still finding its place in the world. It’s young. Just because it’s volatile now doesn’t mean it won’t stabilize later.

If you can’t handle the heat, maybe stay out of the kitchen. Bitcoin isn’t for the faint-hearted. It’s for those who get it and believe in its future.

Exactly! Bitcoin is a long-term hold. The supply is fixed. While gold’s supply increases, Bitcoin stays capped at 21 million. That’s a huge advantage.

I get that Bitcoin isn’t perfect, but it’s better than gold in many ways. The limited supply and decentralized nature make it a strong contender.

True, but everyone’s definition of a store of value is different. For some, Bitcoin will always be that. For others, it’s not. It depends on personal perspective.

Don’t forget the liquidity aspect. Saving fiat vs Bitcoin for a couple of years could show surprising results. Inflation, man.

Yeah, but in the early years, everything outperforms. Bitcoin’s hype could fade when it reaches a certain market cap.

You think so? I bet the real challenge is getting past the old-school finance mindset. People need to adapt, and that takes time.

Plus, just because Bitcoin dips now doesn’t mean it’s not a store of value. It’s about long-term potential, not just short-term fluctuations.

It’s all about perspective. Even with a dip, the long-term trend for Bitcoin has been upward. Compare it with other assets.

And the volatility? It creates opportunities. If you can ride the waves, there’s potential for profit.
