Man, investors on X are losing it! That crash last year led to crazy liquidations, like $28 billion gone. Binance messed up big time, and their investigation just doesn’t cut it. Meanwhile, CZ is sitting on $92 billion while users are rekt. So, is Binance just sucking the life out of Bitcoin?
Is Binance Hurting Bitcoin's Image?

No doubt about it, they're leeching off Bitcoin. They need BTC to even exist. CZ can hype BNB all he wants, but without Bitcoin, they’d be nothing. Bitcoin can stand alone, but Binance? Not so much.
Right? Centralized exchanges just don’t fit the Bitcoin ethos. They mess with privacy and security, making us too vulnerable. We keep seeing stories of funds getting confiscated. It’s wild that people trust these platforms when they don’t own their assets.
What platform doesn’t leech when it can, though?
True, Binance might not be regulated everywhere, but in a lot of places they are. This isn't something to just ignore. They need to investigate what happened during that glitch. It’s a big issue for the biggest exchange out there, and it sends everyone into a panic.

I wonder how it's really supposed to be used. P2P? I mean, how often do we actually buy stuff in real life using P2P? Fiat rules our lives, and Bitcoin just isn't adopted enough yet. Plus, it’s super volatile. Who’s gonna rely solely on it?
Exactly, it’s leeching but also kinda helping the industry by giving a trading platform. Binance stepped in when others were failing. Their insurance feature gives some users peace of mind.
But that’s only if it’s a hack, right? This wasn’t a hack! It was a glitch that caused panic selling. It’s a big deal when you’re moving billions. Users lost money because of their reaction to it.
They kinda filled a gap in the market, yeah, but they’ve also monopolized things. New exchanges pop up, but we still hear Binance all the time.

I don’t mind using CEXs, but only to trade. They should be a marketplace, not a vault for your coins. Keeping Bitcoin on a centralized exchange is just asking for trouble.
For sure. We need more focus on privacy and using non-custodial wallets. Decentralized exchanges should be the go-to, but people think they need exchanges for buying Bitcoin.
Honestly, all these exchanges thrive because of Bitcoin. They’re definitely leeching. Binance exists because Bitcoin became popular.
No matter what Binance says, that glitch caused the liquidations. Their lack of regulation is making the whole crypto world look bad. We need stricter rules for centralized exchanges.
Centralized exchanges do bring some negative vibes to Bitcoin. Some engage in sketchy practices that hurt crypto's rep. People often think Bitcoin is the same as these platforms. Remember the FTX mess? It hurt Bitcoin's credibility.
Totally agree. But at the same time, exchanges helped get people into crypto, which is a plus. Many wouldn’t even know about Bitcoin without them.
What you’re saying makes sense. Binance built its reputation despite past issues, and it’s helped crypto adoption. New exchanges are just following their lead now.
Impact on Bitcoin’s rep? Hard to say. It stands on its own. But when these exchanges mess up, it drags Bitcoin down with them, especially for newbies who don’t know the difference.
I don’t think one exchange can ruin Bitcoin's reputation. It only hurts the exchange itself. Just use them for trading and withdraw immediately. That’s how I roll.
Totally! Not your keys, not your crypto. Even the trusted platforms can pull some dirty moves. It’s the dark side of crypto. Only a few really win while others get burned.
Exactly! CZ acts like he doesn’t need Bitcoin, but his whole empire is built on it. He plays the BNB card now, but we all know where it started.
