Got a question about my Mars Lander from Bitcoin Merch. It's showing tons of hardware errors when I mine. After running it for almost 2 days, here are the stats: 26016 accepted, 5 rejected, and a wild 10928 hardware errors. That's around a 42% error rate. This seems way too high to me. Average mining speed is 288 MH/s. Emailed Idan from Bitcoin Merch and he said hardware errors are normal. He says my hashrate is great.

Sounds like your miner might be overheating. Did you overclock it? Maybe the power supply isn’t cutting it, you might need to swap it out. Or try downclocking the miner a bit, that could help with those errors.

I’m with you, that nearly 50% error rate is problematic. You said it's a first run? Sometimes they need to warm up. Try rebooting it after it’s warmed up and keep an eye on the errors. If it's still bad, then yeah, downclocking could help.

How do you even check the Mars Lander’s status?

Just punch the IP of the Mars Lander into your browser, add:8080 at the end. You can also SSH into it using username "pi" and password "raspberry". Once logged in, type "sudo screen -list" to see the screen sessions. Connect to the one running CGMiner with "screen -r ###" (### being the instance number).
