Just saw a pretty interesting thread about T21 miners and three phase power. Tried to buy some but ended up with the same issue. Got one on hand and two more on the way, but I’m on single phase 230 volts and it’s frustrating.

You’re not alone! I found some tips on that thread too. I managed to get mine working with a 230 volt PSU, pretty happy about it. My setup is pulling about 2782 watts for 157th, which is around 17.72 watts per th.

Nice, I’m getting similar numbers! With cold air, I’m pulling about 2750 watts for 157th. It runs cooler around 45F.

I have a T21 miner too. I’m using the Epic controller with firmware 42. Works like a charm! Just a heads up, the Civtek controller isn't cutting it.

Yeah I noticed that the Epic controller is the way to go. Just a bummer that the T21 doesn’t come with a PSU cover, makes things messy.

I’ve got three T21s and can push them to 205th at 17.5 watts in a cool room. Gonna try the Alpha PSU soon, aiming for 231th!

You seriously think it can hit that? I’d love to see that in action. Got a good PSU? What’s your setup?

For sure! I grabbed an Alpha PSU that can do 7000 watts. Planning to mod it for air cooling and boost the volts up.

Just got my T21 running on single phase. Used duct tape to cover the open power bars. It’s messy but it works.

Nice work! I heard Altair makes a cover for that. Might be worth checking out.

I just ordered a couple of covers from Altair. Better safe than sorry with those exposed bars.

Is the Epic controller really necessary? I thought I could just flash the stock controller and get it working.

Maybe it can work but I’ve had issues with the stock firmware after swapping PSUs. You might need aftermarket firmware.

That’s good to know. I’m thinking about flashing to vnish on the stock board, seems cheaper.

Yeah but if you go with Epic, you get zero dev fees. Might save you in the long run.

I’ve got a couple of Epic boards coming for my next T21s. I’m sold on them, they work better than others.

You guys are making me think about switching to T21 from S21. I’ve heard mixed things.

I think T21 is cheaper and has a decent PSU. I’d pick it over S21 any day if it works well.

Hey, I’d be interested in buying some covers too! Looks like they’re in demand.

I listed the PSU cover as a variant on the T21 transformer listing. Might help out some folks.
