I tried to trade a shitcoin with $50, but the exchange limited me to $38.9. Even using use, I can't seem to cross that. Like, you can't even hit $40 with $20 at 2x use. Also, yesterday I could only go to $105 on perpetual futures... is this a bug, or is something off with the exchange?
I faced something like this with a new token in futures before. No clue how I fixed it. Are you in any other trades? Maybe you’re stuck in standard mode? Switch to hedge mode. If that doesn’t work, it could be low use availability. I’ve waited it out before; it cleared up after a few days.
These limitations happen often with new coins in perpetual markets. I think the exchange intentionally limits it for their reasons. I’ve seen it a lot when trading new tokens, it’s not a bug. Just chill and wait for the trading volume to pick up. If it’s an older coin, maybe it’s just low volume causing the limit.
If it’s like that, good luck solving it. I couldn’t fix it before, but later I managed to profit as the coin dropped. It seems the exchange prefers users not to use high use on risky tokens. It’s funny though, you can find some coins where you can go up to 100x use despite their volatility.
Yeah, there are different use rules for various coins. Your screenshot shows you set 10x use, but there’s a limit on that coin. Try that use with other coins. It doesn’t seem like a bug though. If you think it is, reach out to support.
Sounds just like a problem someone mentioned to me. I thought it was just a setting on the exchange to prevent heavy losses on volatile tokens. Not sure which exchange you’re using, but my buddy had issues with coinstore. Definitely sounds like a feature, not a bug.
Been trading a lot lately, and not all coins act like this. I got a limit notification for $105 on one coin and $68 on another yesterday. It’s getting annoying. If it’s not a bug, the exchange should at least warn traders about these limits. Can’t trade like that.
This is typical with those volatile shitcoin perpetuals that lack liquidity. You’re probably experiencing that. The exchange limits positions to avoid crazy price swings. I just checked the SAFEMOONSOLUSDT contract's risk limits; it caps the max position at 20.5 USDT. Gotta watch for that stuff before trading.
