Most discussions about investing seem to only focus on returns. But with long-term DCA, I’m convinced that just looking at returns doesn't really show if the strategy is solid enough for different market conditions.

Totally agree! Bitcoin keeps hitting new ATHs, so DCA is bound to pay off long-term. Even if you start buying at a peak, the next cycle will probably bring a new high. Simple math, right?

Yeah, I see what you mean. DCA isn’t about being unprofitable, but it doesn’t capture the whole experience. It’s all about those long stretches where your portfolio is underwater and you’re questioning your decisions.

Bear markets are like discounts! If you’re DCAing, you should love them. Prices drop, you buy more, and in a bull market, you profit. If you can’t handle the bear, maybe DCA isn’t for you.

For me, durability matters more than quick gains. If I buy Bitcoin around peaks like $69k, I can still do well once prices rise again, especially if I keep buying during bear markets. I just track my average cost and drawdown severity.

DCA is a solid investment strategy for long-term holders. Traders can definitely benefit too, especially with spot markets where fees aren’t a concern. You can lower your average entry price with DCA.

With DCA, drawdowns can actually help lower your average price. If you have a regular income, capital deployment becomes less of a worry. It’s perfect for those with stable jobs.

True! DCA helps long-term holders avoid fees and accumulate Bitcoin without the stress of trading. Just keep buying and holding.

Buying near ATH can still pay off later. The key is to keep the faith during downturns and focus on accumulating more. Long-term investors know how to weather the storms.

Bear markets are great! You can grab more Bitcoin at lower prices. If you trust Bitcoin, you’ll do just fine in the long run.

I notice most replies talk about DCA as a mindset. Patience and belief are key, but I also think we need practical metrics to check if the strategy is still working.

If you’re DCAing for the long haul, why worry about drawdowns? If you plan to sell during the next ATH, that’s a different game. Keep buying until you hit your target.

DCA is straightforward. It lets you buy Bitcoin at different prices, which protects you from only buying at highs. You can snag those low prices too.

I used to DCA with stocks. Now it’s all Bitcoin for me. I don’t sweat the market fluctuations as long as nothing major disrupts Bitcoin. It’s about accumulating until I reach my target.

I can vibe with the maximum drawdown metric. But time spent below previous ATH? That’s relative. Some stocks take ages to recover, yet they still hit new highs.

I think we’re pretty aligned here. Maximum drawdown is key, but I don’t see time below ATH as predictive. It’s more about how it affects your decision-making.

I’m sticking with DCA because it’s worked for me. I’ve made mistakes before, so I’m not looking for alternatives. If you’re still doubting DCA, try it out and see for yourself.

No need to overthink strategy if you're DCAing in BTC. It’s all about holding for the long-term. Just make sure you’ve got your bases covered to avoid panic during downturns.

This really highlights the different approaches. If you see DCA as purely a long-term belief, metrics don’t matter much. I’m focused on execution risks, not just market risks.

Investing is stressful. You need to keep going even when things get tough. If you’re financially stable, it’s easier to stick to your plan and not get swayed by emotions.
