Yeah, you’ll most likely need a special contract with the power company. You can’t just use a regular residential plan. The contract specifies how much power they’ll deliver and what it’ll cost. Sometimes, more power doesn’t mean cheaper rates.
Mining usually happens where energy’s cheap. Texas is one of those places with some of the lowest kilowatt hour prices in the States.

A 3MW setup usually manages only 75-80% efficiency, so you’ll end up with about 2.25 to 2.4 megawatts.
Many folks prefer using two 2MW transformers instead; if one fails, you only lose half the farm.
For example, if you get two 2.0MVA transformers, you could run 1.5 to 1.6 MW on each, achieving a true 3MW farm.
You don’t need the J+ for 277V. Bitmain kind of hides that they have PSUs for x19 family that support 277V: APW12A and APW121215g. The newer miners usually need the latter, but even the original S19 Pro can work with the former.
