if decentralized exchanges can just roll back transactions, isn’t that kinda against what they stand for? sounds like a major loophole to me...

I’m really curious if everyone who got liquidated will have their accounts restored? Like, is there any plan to fix the mess? So many people lost money because of this.

lol, coming from the same folks who almost got wiped out in the FTX debacle! SAFU, right? It’s funny how they call it decentralized when they can just roll things back. Feels kinda centralized to me.

Exactly, rolling back harms the whole idea of decentralization. This just puts them on the same level as centralized exchanges where they can control what happens. That’s kinda terrifying.

What about those who opened shorts and didn’t set stop losses? Did they just get stuck in the market? Seems unfair if they didn’t get liquidated but couldn’t withdraw their profits either.

not your keys, not your coins, right? A rollback might seem helpful now, but it just shows there’s someone pulling the strings when things get tough. real decentralization wouldn’t work like this.

Yeah, seriously. Using an unknown exchange is risky business. Are they even going to make up for any losses? Seems like they’re just gonna shrug it off and move on.

It's becoming clear they’re not decentralized at all. Everyone should really think twice about using exchanges that say they are decentralized. If you see any centralization signs, run.

I’ve read a lot about situations like this. Usually, exchanges will close positions for you rather than let you take losses. I’ve seen that happen on other platforms too during volatile times.

Most people don’t expect a fully decentralized application to work like Bitcoin. Having a way to fix problems makes sense to avoid huge losses. I don’t like the idea of rolling back a whole blockchain though.

You’re spot on about stop-losses. Normally they let profits run unless a rollback messes everything up. They might have hidden features to prevent losses, which is sketchy.

DeFi comes with loads of risks hacks and smart contract errors. But all so-called decentralized systems have kill switches. It’s a double-edged sword, tbh.

This isn’t a real decentralized exchange. I bet they weren’t even using the actual Bitcoin network. Probably some random token instead.

Totally agree with you. No rollback has ever happened on the BTC mainnet since forever. Paradex probably controlled some token, not real Bitcoin.

This is why perpetual contracts on unknown exchanges are a disaster waiting to happen. Bigger exchanges aren't flawless either, but chances of getting wrecked are way higher here.

Trading is risky, no matter what. People should stick to well-known exchanges. Even they can crash like FTX. Centralized and decentralized exchanges both have their dangers.

Honestly, isn’t this a huge red flag? If they can’t secure their database, is it even worth using? Lesser known exchanges usually lack the resources to keep things safe.

With decentralized exchanges, they should have solid protocols in place. If the blockchain is the database, how can they mess that up?

I’m getting skeptical about all this decentralization talk. Too many people claiming to be decentralized aren’t even close. Bitcoin is the only one that really nails it.

If a decentralized exchange can’t cover losses, it’s like being hyperliquid. Once positions are liquidated, it’s game over. This rollback thing proves decentralization is a myth.
