I’m thinking about setting up a bitcoin mining hosting farm in Texas or maybe Nebraska... Need some advice and partners. Looking to finalize plans soon.
What should I be aiming for in terms of electricity price? I’m guessing around 4 cents per kWh. And what’s a good ballpark for initial investment? Maybe 50K-100K USD per MW for setup?
I already run mining farms in 4 other locations worldwide. Any solid advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
Constructing a Bitcoin Mining Hosting Farm in the USA

I’ve worked on electrical setups and managed a few mining farms in Texas. I’ve seen rates as low as 3.5 cents per kWh for 3MW farms, so 4 cents is definitely doable, depending on your location and power agreements.
As for costs, I’d say around 100K per MW is pretty standard if you have some existing infrastructure in place. If you’re starting from scratch, expect to pay more.
Thanks for the info! I found this site quotecolo.com that has some referrals.
100K per MW seems doable. Could work well if I can get cheaper electricity around 3.5 cents.
Are you available to help more directly? I can PM you.
I can offer some general tips, but that’s about it. Hit me up in PM if you want.
So where should I start looking for partners?
"HOSITING"? Seriously?
If you’re trying to find investors, maybe fix that typo first. I mean, if you can’t even spell "hosting" right, I wouldn’t trust you with my money. Attention to detail matters.
Lol right? IT folks are all about the details, huh? But sounds like your experience with global data centers is kinda lacking. In big projects, the lines between partner and investor get blurred.
Just to clarify for everyone: I’m looking for a partner and a solid location for a crypto farm, not just an investor.
4 cents sounds reasonable. Location isn’t a huge deal; I’m open to places even further north in the US or near Canada, as long as it’s safe.
Any suggestions on who to contact? Looking for local experts too. Hoping to connect with them here.
