For a 2kw rig, you're looking at about 48 kWh daily. You don't wanna drain your batteries, so it’s better to aim for 80 kWh, especially if you’re off-grid. You should consider 5-6 hours of full sun. So, if you go with 6 hours, you might need around 14 kW of panels, maybe 16 for off-grid.

I’ve seen some 450-watt panels that look decent. Found a kit claiming 12000 watts but it’s a joke for a 2000-watt miner. Only 4 batteries? Not gonna cut it. And for pricing, yikes. But I did spot a 600-watt panel, anyone know about that?

When picking solar panels for mining, you gotta think about location and sunlight. A solar panel that can push over 2000 watts is your best bet. Efficiency matters too go for high-efficiency panels to get the most juice from sunlight.

Going off-grid is pricey with battery costs. If tied to the grid, you can save a ton, especially if net metering is allowed where you live. My big setup does 1 megawatt daily, but we use 2.64 megawatts. So if your setup can bank energy during the day, you should be good. Just make sure you have a fair net metering system.
