Thought I'd kick off a thread for the Canaan distributor since they look like they're sticking around. Maybe someone from the team will pay attention here. Right now, they're selling Avalon 741s with a shipping date of November 20th. I've done a few orders and they went super smoothly. My first order was through PayPal, but now that's gone. They still accept credit cards which works for me.

Quick question for anyone who's ordered internationally. Do we need to send extra docs to sales@minerwarez.com? What does that look like?

It really depends on your country. I called my customs office in Canada to see what forms I need for importing stuff. Each country has its own rules and forms, probably why Minerwarez changed their shipping approach. You could reach out to FedEx, that's who handled my shipments.

Totally agree on that Harmonized Item shipping code. It's a big deal for US imports. Miners are classified as 'Data Processing Machines,' which means lower tariffs compared to other electronics. If you've imported miners from China before, just check the codes on your shipping paperwork.

Yeah, I brought in some PSUs from China to Bulgaria with DHL. The customs docs were handled between me and DHL after they called to discuss options. So now I’m wondering if I need to send any docs to Minerwarez or if FedEx will sort it all out when my miners arrive.

So if I order a miner, do I have to declare its value?

Yup, that's right. You need to declare the value for customs. They’ll be checking that for taxes and duties on imported items.

Correct, you need to declare value for customs. They’ll want that for taxes and duties.

So @andytranter, if you're in Europe and order something worth 2000 bucks, they’ll report it as that and you'll likely end up paying VAT. Could add like 400 bucks more.

I just saw they stopped taking orders for Avalon 741s for the November shipping. Now it's pushed to December 5th.

Lucky me for ordering when I did.

One thing that bugs me is I tried to bulk order their AV6 and asked for a discount. They ignored that completely. Just feels like they’re trying to move old stock but offering no support or warranty. Like, come on, who wants a bunch of old miners?

I feel you on that. I always try to haggle, and it’s frustrating when there’s no flexibility. I checked their used units and the no warranty thing really turned me off. I’m guessing they’re just trying to cash in without caring much.

I’m working on my shipping label and customs docs using the UPS online tool for my order... does anyone have the shipping address?

Not sure, but I think I looked at that place when I moved to Washington from Iowa.

Interesting, not far from Giga-Watt. If only they would offer Avalon miners too...

Yeah, back in the day when Gigawatt was MegaBigPower, they had a mining farm in Wenatchee. Their new farm's across the river near the East Wenatchee airport.

Giga-Watt has two sites listed, I wonder if one is the old MegaBigPower. Hope they offer the new Avalon 14TH miner soon. If not, I’ll just buy from Minerwarez and ship it to Giga-Watt.

Awesome news! Got an email from Minerwarez that my 2x A741s are on the way. FedEx says they should arrive Friday.

Same here! Can’t wait for them to clear customs. I always dread the border crossing.
