Just spotted the Avalon Q from Canaan. Quiet and compact home miner at 90 TH/s. Finally, something that won’t wake up the neighbors!

Guess it costs about 3 grand. Honestly, sounds more like a gamble for solo mining if you’re thinking about profitability in under 2 years.

Not exactly 3k, but I get your point. At 16j/TH it could be profitable even pools. Not everyone might want this option tho.

So is this basically the updated Antminer R4? Looks decent. But isn’t the efficiency around 18.6/TH?

Buying this for home use, you're basically getting a fancy space heater. If that’s your goal, sure, why not?

In my area, that miner will be about 2k plus shipping. Gonna drop another grand on electricity for solo mining over 14 months. Might be good till new tech drops in 2026.

Yep, like I said earlier, definitely a space heater if that’s what you need.

Can someone share the hashrate for all modes? I saw prices in Russia from 1750 USDT for one...

Love the power modes on this ASIC. Perfect for solar setups! But I'm worried about the bull market and what happens post-all-time high. Will I even break even?

True, this ASIC can pay for itself with free electricity in a year, but those mining difficulty spikes each year are a killer.

You’re spot on! Always better to scoop miners in a bear market when prices are low, but it’s tough with the fear of long-term losses.

From what I've seen at around 30°C, here are my hashrates: Super mode 95 TH/s, Standard 80 TH/s, Eco 55 TH/s.

55 TH/s and 800 watts isn’t bad for home setups, but the price is still steep.

I got one too. Didn’t find better ways to utilize surplus from my solar panels. Plus, it's quiet enough to keep in my living room!

Screw those politicians! Recoup your investment in a year, then it’s time for the mining games! Don’t expect massive profits from regular mining though.
