Hey guys, quick question. Is there any way to mine Bitcoin on a mobile? I'm really curious about getting into mining but I don't know much about it. I've heard it's all about those loud ASIC machines and crazy power bills. So, can you actually mine with a phone or is it just a bad idea?

Honestly, just give up on the idea of mining with a phone or laptop. You need an ASIC for serious mining. I grabbed a BitAxe for under 200 bucks and it gets me a shot at blocks. Yeah, you can go cheap but don't expect miracles.
Right, just forget it. The only way to mine effectively is with ASICs. Anything else is a waste of time, even for practice. CPUs and GPUs just won’t cut it. They process data differently and it’s pointless.
Not long ago, someone asked about mining with Android. Most responses were pretty much the same. It's not worth it financially, but if you just wanna learn, use what you already have. A guide I found is decent for learning.
Cloud mining is an option, but good luck finding one that's not sold out. Renting looks tempting but you’ll probably end up losing money because of high costs. Just be careful, there are some shady sellers out there.
If you’re new to this, just stay away from attempting to mine. You can mine altcoins on your PC for Bitcoin rewards, but it won't be profitable. Maybe think about renting computers for AI mining, but this isn't for rookies.
Most of those apps that claim to give Bitcoin for mining altcoins take a big cut or push KYC requirements. I did a quick check and it looks like mining doesn’t pay off. Like, you lose money daily.
I get where you’re coming from. Technically, any device could create these hashes. But realistically, the chances are slim. You need so many factors just right to actually mine anything.
On another forum, someone mentioned services that don’t require KYC. But honestly, mining isn’t profitable anymore. Nicehash has gone downhill and it's a no-go for many miners now.
Mobile mining usually means earning crypto through activities, not actual mining. Most rewards are tiny and uncertain. You get tokens that you can sell, but it’s not real mining.
So is it legit to mine Bitcoin on a phone? No way. You could try in the future, but right now it’s just not worth it. The industry is too competitive now.

Technically possible, but you won’t make a dime. If you're serious about mining, get a rig. But they’re not cheap. It’s a long game and needs real investment.

You need way more than one ASIC to even think about mining. It’s a full-time job maintaining those machines. Just don’t start this as a hobby.
Lol, yeah, it’s just not likely to happen. Like saying a kid could fly, it’s super rare.
To mine properly, you need cheap electricity. If it costs more than 10 cents per kWh, don't invest in ASICs.
It’s almost impossible to earn big with a phone. Your friend is probably exaggerating. Sure, some made money back in the day, but those days are long gone.

You might have been tricked. The hype around phones mining coins like Electroneum faded fast. They just ran off with the investors' money.
I could list a bunch of similar coins. Most of the profit went to the project owners and influencers. Participants just wasted time for a tiny reward.
Sadly, no one cares about mining software for older hardware anymore. It would be cool to let people experiment with it but seems like devs have just abandoned it.
I asked about mining on Windows before. Yeah, technically it can be done, but practically it’s useless.
