I know someone who tried to get a job at a major bank and even the government. He shared his crypto insights with them, but they never offered him a job. Now they’re using his methods, which is just messed up.
Beware of Idea Theft in Crypto and Finance

Totally agree. You can't trust anyone with your ideas, even if they seem like friends. Some people just want to use your brilliance without giving anything back.
But aren’t ideas pretty common? Like, loans backed by crypto? I brought that up back in 2017 too. Everyone has ideas, but executing them is what really matters.
Yeah, true. If you’ve got a great idea, better keep it close to your chest. Investors might just take it and run.
Honestly, two people can think of the same idea without ever meeting. If you’re worried about competition, just find a way to make your idea work better.

Right? It’s not just banks and governments. Even your friends could take your ideas. But some people are all talk and no action, while others can actually build on it.

You sound like you’ve never worked in a big company. If you have original ideas, keep them separate from your job. Otherwise, the company owns them.
Having a good idea isn’t enough. You need to know how to execute it and take risks. Lots of folks have ideas, but not everyone can make them happen.
Isn’t it a bit unethical, though? Big institutions use your ideas without hiring you. They see it as gathering info rather than stealing.

For real. It’s messed up how they’ll take your ideas and not even give you a second thought. Just proves they don’t care about the people behind the ideas.

Governments have all the resources to get info they want. They’ll find a way to profit, even if they didn’t get it from you.
If your friend had a solid plan, he should've presented it better. Maybe he’s missing some credentials or just didn’t sell it right.
Banks and institutions definitely need smart people, but they don’t need too many. A single smart person can handle a lot.
These companies aren’t just about ideas; they steal talent too. It’s all part of the game for them.

I believe in karma. If you share your ideas with good intentions, you’ll be rewarded eventually. Those who act shady will pay for it.
I can relate to that. I’ve had ideas that I thought were original, but turns out someone else had them too. Just gotta make it real.

You bring up a good point. But if you’re working in a restaurant and you leave to start your own, isn’t that just using what you learned?
Nah, I think banks and governments depend on more than just individual ideas. They’ve got tons of advisors for that.
Your friend should know how to monetize his ideas. If he’s being considered by top firms, he must have a solid background.

Ideas can’t be patented. With so many people out there, it’s likely someone else will come up with the same idea.
