Beware of Fake Chrome Wallet Extensions

I hope nobody downloaded this wallet. If you did, uninstall it ASAP. It’s been found to have a backdoor to grab your seed phrases. Once they have those, you're done.

Good news is that the fake Chrome extension got yanked fast. I was gonna report it myself but looks like the news hit Google quick enough. Just shows how sketchy app stores can be, right?

Honestly, the Chrome store freaks me out with wallets. Too many shady extensions. I’d rather just download from official GitHub like Metamask. Better safe than sorry.

There’s a new wallet system that doesn’t need a Chrome extension. Just sync with a decentralized wallet and authenticate before signing into DeFi. Maybe these scams led to that.

Hackers target newbies who don’t know how to tell what's legit. If you're new, just don’t download unknown extensions at all. Most who got hacked fell for that trap.

Or just don’t link any wallets with balance. Some projects need you to access new wallets, but using a zero-balance wallet can protect you.

I didn’t mean that. You shouldn’t link your main wallet to unknown sites. Better to create a temporary wallet with just enough for gas fees. That way, worst case, you only lose a small amount.

Don’t install random wallet extensions unless you really know what you’re doing. I only use MetaMask and Phantom. Tried Grass but got rid of it. I’ve read about hacks on unknown wallets.
